Markita Smith
Markita is a Franklin, VA native and has lived and worked in the Franklin, Southampton community for many decades. Markita also serves her community and works as a mental health Professional and certified Life skills coach and has been for over 15 years doing day treatment and intensive in-home all over the Tidewater area. Markita has worked for the City of Franklin and Franklin City Public Schools in the past and was highly respected in all the different positions she was employed in. She is experienced in coordinating special events and working with people on all walks of life. Markita has a very strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and helping others live happy, and be productive. Markita is a welcome asset to Family 4 Eternity as she has a strong understanding of the needs of Franklin and the surrounding communities. Markita is well-known and revered for her heart-warming smile, empathetic ear, and ability to be firm to make sure no one goes without basic necessities. Markita brings a strong foundation and outstanding rapport with her peers and business leaders in this community. Mike Sweat-Chairman
Michael Sweat is the Chairman of the Board of Family 4 Eternity. Mike has a vast level of experience with government service, for-profit, and non-profit businesses. Upon completion of his degrees at Providence and Western New England University achieving degrees in Economics and an MBA in Acquisition, Mike entered government service in a highly competitive Civilian Career Field in Contracting and Acquisition Specialities. He was hand-selected to attend the Harvard Kennedy School, were he received a second Master's degree in Public Administration, International Trade & Finance. Mike then continued to utilize his advanced degrees into a highly successful career in defense and national security, including co-founding and leading Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd. for many years. he now focuses on helping small businesses in the Government Services space realize their full potential and non-profits, now that He is semi-retired. Mike is known for his strong ties to the community, his loving daughter, wife, family members, and his pride and joy grandchildren. He is a die-hard Boston sports fan, and he has a famous saying of only putting his name associated with Organizations of the utmost commitment to honesty, integrity, and always doing the right thing, no matter who is or is not looking. Mike has a personal tie with Family 4 Eternity as he employed the Founder of Family 4 Eternity to his former company he was CEO of, Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd., over 20 years ago. They have stayed in constant contact and served as a mentor and father figure role throughout the entirety of their relationship with unwavering support. Mike has a heart of compassion, love, and willingness to make sure no one goes without the ability to have access to one of the most vital resources, FOOD. Mike has been received with open arms by the Family 4 Eternity Family, and we are humbled and grateful to have his relentless commitment and steadfast dedication to ensure no one goes hungry in Southampton County and Western Tidewater.
